WHO WE ARE

About Arise Go Missions

Rooted in faith. Called to serve. Sent with purpose.

OUR STORY

How It Began

It started at Kingdom Bound, a Christian music festival in western New York. I was there with my sister-in-law. We had gone together for years with my late brother, who loved it, and that year was part celebration and part honoring him. I wasn't looking for a calling. I was just showing up.

Eight Days of Hope had a presence at the festival that year. I watched their presentation about disaster rebuilding and something stirred. My sister-in-law didn't let me sit on it. She elbowed me and said you've always talked about doing something like this, just sign up already. So I pulled out my phone, scanned the QR code, and signed up right there.

The first deployment was to Amory, Mississippi, after a tornado had torn through the community. My wife, Sarah, encouraged me to go. My friend Jeff offered to drive before I even had a chance to figure out the logistics. My dad joined us too. In the first two days on the ground, I called Sarah and told her I thought God was calling our family into something more. She already knew.

"Arise therefore, go down and go with them, doubting nothing; for I have sent them"

— Acts 10:20

Follow Along

We send a monthly update. Deployments, stories from those we've served, and what God is doing through this family.

The name was Sarah's idea. She chose it from Jonah 3:2, "Arise, go," and she meant it with love and a little knowing look. If you know the story of Jonah, you understand why. We use a fish in some of our imagery as a quiet nod to that. The verse that defines our calling is Acts 10:20, the moment Peter is told to go, stop hesitating, and trust that God is already ahead of him. That is where we live.

Jeff has been on several deployments since Amory and now sits on our board. He and his family have been a constant encouragement to ours. That kind of support is a big part of why we keep saying yes. This is not a solo calling. It never was.

Since that first trip, the calling has only grown clearer. New partnerships, new deployments, new families served. Arise, Go Missions is what God spoke into being in a Mississippi community, and we are still going wherever He sends us.

Christ First

Our faith is not a footnote — it is the foundation. Every decision we make, every trip we take, every dollar we spend is filtered through our commitment to Christ and His Word.

Faith-Driven

We are a Christ-first organization. The Gospel shapes everything we do and how we serve.

Compassion-Led

We serve with genuine love — meeting practical needs while pointing to the hope found in Jesus.

Called to Go

We don't wait for the world to come to us. We arise and go — wherever the Lord sends us.

OUR PRIMARY PARTNER

Eight Days of Hope

The majority of our mission trips are carried out under the umbrella of Eight Days of Hope — a faith-based disaster relief organization that mobilizes thousands of volunteers to serve communities in crisis.

Together, we bring skilled hands, willing hearts, and the Gospel to places that need it most.

Victims of Human Trafficking

We stand for the vulnerable and the exploited, supporting outreach and restoration efforts for survivors.
